Week 40

May 30th post- the day before my actual "due date"- I know a little late but I just found the pics!

Weight gain: 6 pounds to lose before I reach pre-prego, the baby just sucks the fat right off! It's awesome.

Estimated Stats: Size of a small watermelon
Actual Stats: at his 2 week appointment on May 30th- 8 pounds 2 ounces! That's a pound and 2 ounces past birth weight! He is seriously packing on the chubs- he looks like a completely different baby. Whoa.

It was the smallest watermelon they had-  good thing he isn't that big- I would have been HUGE.

He would have been born today, May 31st at 8 pounds 2 ounces! (Okay so it could be the fact that my milk is pure cream and he wouldn't have gotten that big, but I wonder if he would have reached that) I can't believe these past weeks have gone so fast.

Here are some facts on the little guy:

-he's so strong and likes showing off his muscles- he will pose with one arm above his head and the other stretched out to show how big he is.
-I think we are keeping his name Grant Ray and I'm going to call him Ray or Grant or handsome or angel or sweet baby or all of the above.
-his nicknames so far are "Rayfu" and "G-Ray". Who knows what will stick?
-he still poops and pees RIGHT when you take his diaper off to change him.  I get peed on at least 3 times a day and he ends up with pee in his eye and in his face at least once per day and I now keep towels near the changing table- I'm getting smarter.
-It is a fact that his poop, with the right farting force, can shoot up to three feet away from his butt- at least.
-We love him more than anything in this world.

38 weeks

Post for the week of May 17th.
I had the baby! 2 and a 1/2 weeks early!!!

But, Jay said I was planning on having the baby at 40+ weeks so I should keep taking my weekly pregnancy photos to see if the baby is as big as the the fruit/vegetable that he is compared to that week for his growth.

This week he is as long as a leek! (looks like he is a bit longer).

You can see how he fit when he's all curled up.
He is so tiny. My mini-human!
Stats: Baby is as long as a leek.
Total Weight gain: down 20 lbs after birth!

May 12th: I felt really sick a couple of days ago and last night I was nesting- all of a sudden-out of nowhere- I just got all this energy and started doing all this stuff that I've been wanting to do for a few weeks- just BAM. Done. All day today though I've been just feeling like sitting and resting. I feel a lot more pressure in the pelvis though and wonder if it could be close.

May 13th: I was closer than I thought! I am a mother on mother's day! What a perfect day and smooth delivery. I have never felt so much love for a living tiny person in my life. Jay and I both burst into tears whenever we look at him and how perfect he is. He is ours and we couldn't be happier.

May 14th: Just getting spoiled at the hospital- (American Fork hospital rocks!) Just pick up the phone whenever I need anything.  Getting to know little Grant- the nurses keep coming in saying they will take him to the nursery to I can get some sleep and I just don't even know what to say- how can I part from this tiny precious person that I carried for 37.5 weeks? There is no way I am sending him away. I smile and say thanks but inside ask how could that even be possible? I just stare in wonder at his little fingers and toes and eyebrows and eyes and elbows. How could a little person grow inside me and here he is so perfect?! I am amazed at my body and that it was able to carry this precious cargo.

May 15th: My family came and visited (well, they were here as I was delivering the placenta) but anyway my little sister Bethany laughs at my belly because I still look about 6 months pregnant. Going home from the hospital- good thing we installed that car-seat a few days ago! haha. I have to sit in the back by baby and people smile on the road when they see why an adult is sitting in the backseat of the car.

May 16th: Breastfeeding is a little more complicated than I thought. Baby latches but then I have so many questions on if he is eating enough and when do I switch- am I supposed to switch? Which boob did I feed off of last? Good think Nicole gave me a nifty bracelet to keep track or I would be totally lost.

May 17th: Still can't get over the perfection of my child. Visitors fall in love instantly and I can't blame them. He is the sweetest baby in the whole world. And the cutest and I just can't believe he's here and he's all mine.

*So this is just a jot-down note taking of those days-there will definitely be more to come.

Week 37

Okay, time to catch up.... This is from week 37 (May 9th)

I kept wanting to take a picture but I never really felt very good this week-I will post one from when I forced myself to get ready for my baby shower.

Month: 8
Total Weight Gain: 36 pounds

Symptoms: ankles, hands and feet swollen a lot, still got heartburn, I have to wake up and pee like 3-4 times a night.

May 4th: I always laughed at those pregnant ladies who said they were, "done" with being pregnant- I would always think, "But you've been pregnant for how long? Like 37 weeks and you only have a few more? How hard can it really be?  It's not that much longer"!!
Now I laugh because....I get it. Okay. I get it. I want the baby out.  How can I get any bigger than this?

May 5th: my belly matches a watermelon-like EXactly. We compared- now I want a shirt with a watermelon on it!!!! I need one of these maybe:
Love it!
Common joke

Can I give one to my baby?!!! ha ha

Ninja Baby

May 7th:  Best part of my week! Pregnancy massage! It's actually really helping my shoulder pain a ton- I still feel it but it's just achy, not stabbing pain anymore! Yipee!!!!!

May 8th: Nearly sleepless night-probably got 3 hours or so- I was so sick: throat, head, congested, nauseous-yuck. Did I ever tell you I have the best husband in the world? He stayed up with me and massaged my head while we watched a movie together. And he still had to go to work today! I guess I'm training him for sleepless nights with a baby;)

May 9th: I dreamed a couple of weeks ago that I had my baby today! I went to my baby appointment in the morning and had the Strept B test and they checked to see how dilated/effaced I was and I am 2.5cm and 90% effaced! I googled to see what that meant for other people and most people said within the next few days not to be surprised if the baby comes. Then my neighbor said she was 100% effaced, 4 cm dilated for 3 weeks with each of her kids so who really knows what that means for me personally. But-I am very excited that my body is getting ready!!!! Oh I also had them check my iron levels (I have been eating more iron rich foods and drinking veggie juice, not taking the pills) and they said I am normal! Yipee!!!! Really glad I didn't have to take the iron pills and could just eat different things to help my body get that iron.

Also, my baby shower was today! Amanda and Chelsie and Christina are so awesome for pulling that together- it was so cute and I am so blessed to have people give me things that I need. I got some cute outfits and a baby-carrier and toys and diapers!!!! I think I might have been the most excited about the diapers! ha ha. My favorite gift was from Lynette who drove out from Erda to come to my shower (she is the coolest pretty much). It was a onsie with a cute little saying on it:

I laughed pretty hard at that one- Thanks Lynette!!!

Week 36

Month: 8!!!! Final stretch y'all.
Weight Gain: 35 lbs
Facts: Baby is as big as a crenshaw melon- yah never heard of it but we are in the melons people! That's a big deal. He's supposedly around 6 pounds and 19 inches-I can feel that.

Journal:

April 26th: I could have my baby in a week and he would be considered full term. Better start packing for the hospital. I made the list.

April 27th: Emotional day today- tears that could fill a nice little swimming pool probably. Haven't had a good cry for a while- I think it's healthy once in a while.

April 28th: Really achy and head hurting, nauseous. So, so cold then randomly really hot. Small fever- Jay was so so sweet to me. He helped me with anything and everything that I needed and ran to the grocery store in the middle of the night to get me juice and Tylenol and then stayed up watching Merlin with me to make sure he could keep wetting down the washcloth to put on my head and filling up my cup with juice and making sure that I was taken care of. What a miserable night, but what a wonderful loving husband I have. I slept a ton today after I had some medicine. Oh, and as I was feeling progressively worse, I must admit that it crossed my mind I wouldn't have to give my talk the next day...which was a plus to being sick;) So I called the 1st counselor and told him to have a back-up just in case.

April 29th: I know I could have gotten out of the talk because I was sick but I went and did it- and didn't throw up! Success! And the first counselor came up to me afterwards and said that my back-up had been praying fervently for me to be well today and that his testimony in prayer had been strengthened because I showed up. ha ha.

April 30th: Jay has been so awesome! Holy cow, he has been helping me around the house and making sure that I don't feel overwhelmed with things and just taking care of me and telling me I am doing a good job growing a baby! Thanks honey, it means so much to hear you say things and all the help you are giving me- you are the BEST!!!

May 1st: This is it- one more month. I think it finally hit Jay tonight that we could really have a baby here really soon-I always say, "Jay, we are having a baby!" Like it's an announcement and new and that is how he sounded the other night when he said it to me!

May 2nd: I don't believe he has dropped yet because I think baby is going to kick a hole through my ribs- I am pretty sure I am bruised in that one spot that he kicks frequently. Ouch! Feet almost fell off while shopping- glad that didn't happen-how embarrassing that would have been.

35 Weeks

How far alongMonth 7- the end of month 7 that is;)

Total weight gain: 34 pounds

Maternity clothesHeck yes
Stretch marks? None that the eye can see- wait- maybe some on the left side- that's where he hangs out most of the time, or should I say stretches out a lot, and I see something there that could be....
Sleep: You know, I am actually doing pretty good- I don't even put a pillow between my knees anymore. I just wake up 2x a night to pee.
Best moment this week: My friend Chelsie just got back from her mission (Yay!) and I felt baby moving so I told her to feel him and she put her hand on my tummy and felt him move- not kick- just kind of shift around and she jerked back her hand like a snake had just bit her and said, "That was creepy". That made me laugh cause I guess it is really strange that you feel just this mass moving around- not kicking-just kind slithering around in there.
Miss Anything? You mean like my shoulder pain? I actually have been feeling awesome with the shoulder!!! *knock on wood*- I feel like the other aches and stuff are nothing compared.
Movement: .All over all the time
Food cravings: Fruity stuff- especially sugary fruity stuff.
Symptoms: Swollen fingersI feel like I can't grip as well- so weird. My lower back has begun to bother me while sleeping but after I get up and about I feel good.
Belly Button in or out? Out!
Wedding rings on or off? Off- have you seen my sausage fingers lately? ha ha. Really they are huge.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, except that I have to admit it is hard to be happy when you are in pain- I really, really appreciate people who have some kind of chronic pain who are still able to go out and about and serve people with a smile. Amazed in fact- I want to be better!!!
Looking forward to: Trying some more veggie juices!!!

Journal:

April 20-I might get a series of massages to see if that helps- it really did help for a couple days but now the constant burning, achy and sometimes stabbing pain is back. Yucky.

April 21- I feel huge. And I just talked to my mother-in-law who says I will get bigger. I just really can't imagine carrying more than now. Maybe baby will come early-like in a couple weeks? If he's ready- I'm ready.

April 22- Chelsie's homecoming talk today! I am so glad to see her and hear her speak- she is amazing.

April 23- My shoulder pain randomly disappeared- maybe after the massage I just needed a week to recover? I hope it is really getting better and not playing tricks on me.

April 24- Somebody asked me if I was excited or scared to give birth. I am actually not scared anymore. I am nervous for sure- but I am so dang excited I can't even stand it. The thing I am scared about is after the baby is here- how I'm going to act with no sleep, how my relationship with Jay might change and how our entire lives will change. I am not sure if I feel ready for all of that. I am ready to hold my baby but all that responsibility?

April 25-I feel really connected to my baby sometimes- sometimes I really just know he is this little person and I'm going to love him and that he loves me and that everything is so worth it and he's going to make me a better person.
Ugh and the shoulder blade pain is back for sure- I am now starting to wonder if the physical therapist was right in saying it was some kind of internal issue maybe linked to the gallbladder. Yuck- I hope not but there is really no way to know until after the baby is born anyway so for now I just got to eat healthy and drink lots of water which is what I should be doing anyway.

34 Weeks

Month: 7.5
Weight Gain: 33 pounds

Stats: Baby is the size of a cantaloupe today! 4.75 pounds and 18 inches long!
Symptoms: Tingly fingers- I wake up at night with my hand numb-the one I put under my pillow. Um, feet are starting to ache a bit. I timed how many times I pee and it is almost once every hour! Can you believe that- I have to always know where a toilet is no matter where I go. I wake up 2x a night just to pee.

Journal Highlights:
April 12th- Wow, I am actually coming a little bit more to grips that this baby is coming. Like it's going to happen. Whoa. I am really excited. And did it just happen over night that all of a sudden I am huge? Really I feel like all of a sudden there my belly goes. Baby is for sure bigger.

April 13th- My cousin said that I probably wasn't going to have a 9 pound baby (she just delivered 9 pounder adorable Grove)- which I hope she's right because I want my baby to be healthy but I'm not sure that I want that big of a baby to come out of me- at least the first time. I hope she is right.

April 15th- I am running out of sunday outfits- I stole some of my sister's stretchy dresses that should get me by for a little bit.

April 16th-Had a dream last night that I gave birth. What a cool thing. The labor was perfect and fast and I wasn't scared- I was excited and I finally held my baby and he was perfect. This dream actually really made me excited for the big day. I am excited to write more about the classes I took after the baby is born so I can tell you really how it helped or what it helps me with.

April 18th- Have I complained about the marble and guitar strings in my mid-back? Yah- I don't have all the lower back pain that everyone complains about but I have this crazy pain on the right side kind of along my scapula. Actually my dad was complimenting me on how I don't complain about pregnancy stuff. Well, not anymore I am going to tell you it has been the worst chronic pain I have ever experienced. If it only lasted a week or a month maybe I wouldn't but it's gone on longer than that and it seems to be getting worse. Well, I got a prenatal massage today. Why have I been waiting this long to feel so relaxed and happy and pain-free? Oh yah, cause it costs a pretty penny but Jay I love you forever for encouraging me to go. What a great husband I have that will work so hard and pay for this wonderful heavenly treatment I got today. I feel so good.

33 Weeks

Looks like I never got around to taking my picture but here I am 33 weeks and a few days with my friend Rika who I believe is 36 weeks here! We are going to have our babies only a few weeks apart! So fun to see her.

Month: 7
Weight Gain: 31 pounds

Journal Highlights:

April 7th:
I got to see my friend Rika today! She is due 3 weeks before me and having a girl! It was so cute to see her and her bump!

April 8th:
Officially believe the baby has dropped. It feels different and I gots to pee almost every half hour- is that normal? I'm going to have to do some googling....

April 9th:
I was bumped over by a car today (refer to April 9th post). The road was clear and Jay and I were crossing the crosswalk when a lady turning left onto the road didn't see us and began accelerating. She noticed me at the last second and bumped into my outstretched arms. I was knocked to the ground which only caused an achy hip and a scratch on my knee. We went to the hospital to make sure you were okay and the nurse was very happy with your heartbeat and movement! Everyone is a-ok. So grateful today.

April 10th:
I got a diaper disposal garbage can thingy for free! Also, my visiting teaching companion is moving to Cali and brought over a little bathtub and carseat! Thanks Kira!!!! Sheesh people are nice.

April 11th:
Jay got a new job today officially! So he is totally going to be able to spend a lot of time with us when you are born! He is so stoked to rock you and hold you and spend evenings home with us.

32 weeks

How far along: 7 months!

Total weight gain: 30 lbs

Maternity clothes? Did I mention I love these? I also just love long t-shirts which I happen to have a lot of so I am enjoying mixing and matching maternity with normal stuff.

Stretch marks? nope

Sleep: I am noticing I require a little more sleep than normal- once in a while I have to take a long nap. I wake up at least 2 times a night to pee.

Best moment this week: My aunt Buffy is a labor and delivery nurse and she was able to feel my tummy and tell me where my baby's butt and back and head and feet were! It was so cool! I knew he was sticking his but out all the time!!! She just confirmed it which was awesome.

Miss Anything? You know when your toaster breaks you just want toast all the time? Well same thing with not being able to lay on your belly. I just want to lay on it all the time!!! And on my back- I do miss it just like I miss toast sometimes when I can't have it.

Movement: .He is sticking his BUTT out all the time- he just pushes really hard and curls up and when I touch the lump I know he's getting bigger and stronger- He kicks in the ribs sometimes and according to how I think he is laying inside (head down-that's where I feel the hiccups is below my belly button) he uses his hands to not only punch but almost claw at me- like he's trying to claw or tickle his way out of me.

Food cravings: I'm not craving anything really- I just know I need to eat more veggies! Why are veggies so hard to eat sometimes? I need some good recipes!!!! Or learn different ways to prepare them or something....

Symptoms: Heartburn's back again- not so bad but I finally got those papaya enzymes from the health food store and they are awesome!!!! Tired. Oh and I'm peeing a lot more often....maybe the baby has dropped! That would be craziness.

Belly Button in or out? Outie!!!! I love it!

Wedding rings on or off? Off- I just wear them on my necklace.

Happy or Moody most of the time: I should take this question off! I hate admitting that I'm moody but I am. I think a lot of it has to do with my back hurting and me being tired and trying to get everything ready for the baby.

Looking forward to: Summer! Jay and I have been talking about going on some little trips once the baby is born- and he'll come with us! We might have to wait a month or so or just see how everything is going but I am super pumped about it! We are going to have a blast!

Week 31

How far along: Ending Month 6

Total weight gain: 28 lbs- that's wierd...I guess I didn't gain anything...maybe it's because I am wearing shorts instead of pants when I got on the scale.

Maternity clothes? Yes and no! I actually found a bin of my "summer" clothes and I still fit in some of my shorts so I have been enjoying them with the sunny weather.

Stretch marks? I always look when I'm filling this out- I don't see any.

Sleep: I love sleeping! I took a 3 hour nap the other day and it felt so good and still slept 8 hours that night. I think it is getting uncomfortable- my hips feel really achy most of the night- it might be because I'm laying on my sides and they are being pulled downwards...

Best moment this week: Finding a way to drink protein mix! I think it is disgusting but I talked to my cousin Danielle and she suggested putting cinnamon in it to make it taste more like an horchata and I can drink it! Yay!

Miss Anything? Yes. I miss sleeping on my back. So much.

Movement: I feel him all the time- I went to the dentist and I don't know if it was because of the noises or what but he was moving around like crazy! It was actually super awkward because here I was with my mouth wide open getting cleaned and I kept laughing or gasping because he would do a mega kick and the nice dental assistant would go, "Oh, did that hurt? I am so sorry!!!" Then I would have to explain with drool dripping down my chin that no, she didn't hurt me, that it was my baby is jumping into my ribs!

Food cravings: I crave hamburger sometimes- I usually don't really like hamburger but sometimes it just sounds sooooo good. And milk. I stopped drinking regular milk before my pregnancy but I crave milk once in a while and have to have a few glasses.

Symptoms: I guess I can say that my hips are achy (while sleeping) and I am short-winded a lot of the time. My heartburn seems to have gone away *knock on wood*!!!!

Belly Button in or out? I would say we have a complete "outie" folks! Yay!!

Wedding rings on or off? On...my necklace around my neck;) Yes, my rings don't fit my finger anymore.

Happy or Moody most of the time: I am extremely moody- happy one minute- sad/mad the next. And it shifts so easily- I don't even sit there and go, "Oh I am being mad about something dumb, maybe I should try to be happy"- nope all of a sudden the very next minute I am happy.

Looking forward to: My new project....to be announced when I actually start it because I don't want to jinx it- I'm going to start it first before I tell people about it.

29 Weeks

Were you as sick of the red shirt as I was?!!! Okay, so I still took one with it but really it's so much more fun to wear different shirts!

How far along: 29 weeks

Total weight gain: Who cares? As long as I am eating healthy foods. I will continue to track it just because I am curious but I think for other babies I am going to keep a "green veggie, fruit, protein" log instead of this section. But because I am curious to see for this pregnancy just how much I do gain....
29 lbs up.

Maternity clothes? I have started wearing some bigger, longer shirts because my old T's show half my belly now!

Stretch marks? It remains a mystery-still none that the eye can see....

Sleep: Really crazy- I went to bed at 5:30a.m. the other day. So I don't know now if I should be napping during the day if it's that hard to go to sleep at night- I'm going to be a little more cautious about it at least.

Best moment this week: I attended my friend Caralee's wedding this week; the best part? I was a bridesmaid! And would you believe it if I told you I was still able to fit into the bridesmaid dress?!!! I was shocked and excited that I was able to be a part of her special day.

Also, Jay and I started a tradition last year to dress up formally for our anniversary (a fun excuse for me to wear a pretty dress!) And I bought my dress for this year last summer- It is a gorgeous purple dress that I had my aunt alter for me to fit me perfectly. Well, when I found out I was pregnant, I thought we might just forgo our tradition this year, my friend gave me a gorgeous stretchy purple to be her bridesmaid and so I wore it for our celebration too! Voila! (although Jay's vest matches my other purple dress better, it still worked out).

Miss Anything? Being balanced- usually in the shower is when it kind of gets scary- right after rinsing soap or conditioner, it gets slick and I got a belly now with a baby so I finally went a bought a rubber mat to help and a handle that suctions onto the wall to use when it's slippery- any other suggestions?

Movement: He likes to move from one side to the complete other side- his whole body will be pressed up against one side or the other- maybe he is just exploring but he is not content with just laying in the middle. I got kind of worried one day and called the midwives who said I should eat and drink some juice and then count and once I did that he had 10 counts in like 30 seconds or a minute. I am so happy when I feel him moving around!

Food cravings: Maybe I'm a weird prego lady to not send my husband off to the store in the middle of the night (I was actually kind of looking forward to that part too- you always see it on the movies) but I do know that I hate water and cucumbers(maybe because they are watery).

Symptoms: Still some heartburn here and there- that means my baby is going to have a lot of hair right?;) I am starting to notice if I am out shopping or standing around that my feet do start to ache a little bit- it's not so bad if I can take some breaks (now the wedding line almost killed me- almost but I made it)
Belly Button in or out? Still the weird half and half thing- it's different being able to see what the inside looks like though-I don't think I've ever seen it before now.

Wedding rings on or off? On-it's getting a little squishy at times though- I am sure with the weather getting warmer and me getting bigger that soon enough I will have to put them away for a little bit.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Moody this week. Like I am up and down and all around. Mostly happy but I'll get all sad and wonder what is going on and then I remember I'm pregnant.

Funny Moment: So I was able to make it down to Manti and watch Caralee and Ben be wed for time and all eternity. I didn't realize though that they were getting married on the top floor: only way up? The stairs. What was funny was I didn't really think anything of it but before the whole party started up, a few people came up to me and said, "Honey, why don't you get a head start? You know, take it easy so you don't go into labor". Wha-wha-wha-what? I went with it but honestly I could have beat half those people up those stairs! No, it was good that I got to take it easy and it was so so cool to be on the spiral staircase. I was married in the Manti temple and caught a glimpse of them then so it was neat to actually climb them- and pregnant!

Looking forward to: Water aerobics with my friend Brooke! She teaches the class and it is so much fun and feels so good to be in the water- maybe it's because I don't feel all the weight on my feet and legs and belly- I think all pregnant people should go at least once just to see how it feels because it is AMAZing.

28 Weeks

How far along: 28 weeks- Officially starting the 3rd Trimester!

Total weight gain: 28 lbs

So guess what I just realized? 28 weeks, 28 pounds and at my appointment today I measured exactly 28 cm. Wowza.

Maternity clothes? Yes! And some new yoga pants- hello where have you been in my life? Cute and totally comfortable!!!

Stretch marks? nope-although my sis-in-law says she thought she didn't have stretch marks but found them after the baby...hmm...so really I don't see them but they could be there.

Sleep: Great in the fact that I think I get enough...I just don't have a regular schedule anymore- guess that could prepare me for a baby right?

Best moment this week: More like moments: My mother, ever time she sees my belly, looks at it and starts crying. No joke. If only you knew my mother. Then she mumbles something about "My baby is having a baby." Runner up moment: the morning I realized I love my pregnant body. It's such a different kind of beautiful and I absolutely love it.

Miss Anything? Being able to switch sides while sleeping easily and comfortably. It's starting to get to the point where I kind of grunt and it takes a few minutes to get situated with my pillow between my knees.

Movement: Not so many kicks now- he'll kick once in a while- but mostly I feel him move his whole body and can see it- it's really weird and cool.

Food cravings: I really haven't had any, "I have to have this or I'm going to die" lately. I crave juice- water is still gross but I'm getting 6 or more glasses in a day- yay me! Um I love flour tortillas. You know the raw ones that you fry up...yum- my mouth is watering right now just thinking about my love for them.

Symptoms: Heartburn. When I went on a walk with my little sister yesterday my belly was tightening up-I have felt this before and I think it's just the muscles stretching but it was very uncomfortable. I have to stop and take a little breather and then continue and it goes away. Mid-back shoulder aches still...only when I am relaxing though...

Belly Button in or out? Half and half!!! The top is finally poking out a little but the bottom half is being stubborn.

Wedding rings on or off? On.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy, happy, happy- a little lazy but happy!

Exercise: I have yoga-ed, walked, and water aerobicized this week! I love exercise- I mean I am for sure taking it easy but just to move and stretch and get blood pumping feels so good! I really can't believe how good exercise makes you feel!

Looking forward to: Physical therapy- I hope it kind of helps- I just want to make sure I catch it and fix it now before it gets to the point where Jay has to quit his job and massage me 24/7.

27 Weeks

I have no picture for this week but just use your imagination: just imagine me bigger than last time;)

How far along: 27 weeks

Total weight gain: 25 lbs

The Journal was fun but honestly I don't keep a journal daily anymore so we're going to switch it up with some questions I found online that are just about the particular week which I think will work well:

Maternity clothes? Yes! I got some maternity jeans the other day and I feel so cute in them and it feels like I am wearing sweats.

Stretch marks? not yet... my belly is starting to get a little itchy so I've been a lotion maniac ever since.

Sleep: Weird sleep this week. One day I slept 8 hours at night, woke up with Jay- fed him breakfast, took a shower and went back to bed for 7 hours- yep-slept the whole day away. So that night I was expecting to be up and have all this energy and not be able to shut my eyes but I fell asleep no problem....I felt really loopy the next day- maybe that was too much sleep all at once.

Best moment this week: I felt tiny hiccups!!! At first I didn't know what or how or why and then: light-bulb! It was a rhythmic little beating and so so cute!!

Miss Anything? Being up for anything: these days I am kind of limited at times what activities I can do and I can't move furniture and such...sometimes I feel stuck. Like the other day my parents went fencing! Yah, I know! So I started talking excitedly to Jay and saying we should go and then it's always like, "Oh wait, would they have something for you? To cover your belly? Maybe that isn't such a good idea..." So that's what I miss, being able to just go to anything and be spontaneous about it.

Movement: Lots of movement from baby Jensen- sometimes I feel my whole body move after a kick- like somebody just gave me a shove...from the inside...it makes me laugh when that happens.

Food cravings: Sugar. Did you know I went off for about a week? I felt great! But I just have this sweet tooth and so I let myself have a little treat now and then and ever since I went completely off of it I have had better control of the amount.

Gender: Boy!!!

Symptoms: Heartburn. Some days it just flares up and fire fire fire. Also my shoulder really starting aching, to the point I couldn't move- went to the Chiropractor which was awesome! I hope it really helps my shoulder!

Belly Button in or out? It's still in- I have such an "inie" but it's barely hanging on- I expect any week now it will pop.

Wedding rings on or off? On during the day, off at night because my fingers swell and if i do fall asleep with them on, I wake up with a tingly hand and have to take them off.

Happy or Moody most of the time: Mostly happy- surprisingly happy actually considering all the things going on. Jay's job might not let him get his anniversary off! Hello- that should be one day that someone should be allowed to get off, right? That's the only thing that's made me really moody.

Funny Moment: Cassy called up one evening wanting to visit (she still doesn't have a car) and asked if mom or dad could come get her. When I told her they weren't home she responded with the question if I would come and pick her up- Then, an immediate GASP. Then she asked me a question that causes me to giggle even now, "Aubrey, can pregnant people drive?"

Looking forward to: My next chiropractic adjustment and my next baby class! (We just started and I think it's going to be really helpful to learn everything I can and to get Jay to be a part of the birth will be so awesome!)
