I'm off of work, time for a quick snack before school tonight.
Hmmmm...smoothie sounds good.
A little bit of blue berries,
a little bit frozen banana,
and oh, where are my strawberries
I froze the other day?
This big red clump must be them.
They don't look like strawberries,
I wonder if the water from them made them stick
together like that. Weird. Oh well.
Blend, blend, blend. Huh, that big clump of strawberries is not mixing well, it's just staying in that big fat clump.
I guess I will just pop the strawberry rock in the microwave for a minute or two.
Beep.
Why does it smell like...hamburger?
Yes, I put a clump of raw hamburger in my smoothie.
There's a protein boost for ya.

Ok ok
Jay said he would have done the same thing.
What was I thinking trying to ruin this horse's
diet?
I would probably be offended too if I were trying
to stay away from sugar and somebody tried shoving
it in my face.
From now on I will only bring fresh veggies.

Miss Piggy and Shamu
Have I ever mentioned that I love horses? I love them. They are beautiful creatures and it has always been one of my dreams to have a horse.
I picture this:

Kind of like a big puppy that you can sit on that will take you places you want to go. I would love to come home and just saddle up and go for a ride through the valleys and the fields of flowers. *Sigh*.
So when Jay and I decided to live in Erda, I thought my dreams would become reality. Well, sort of, because I know we can't afford to buy a huge animal to feed at the moment. So I decided that the two horses down the street would be good enough to at least befriend. Let me introduce you to "my horses":
Shamu

She is an adorable reddish brown color. She is timid and shy and it took patience and persistance to finally cox her to let me pet her.
And this is Miss Piggy:

This one is a whole different story. She is pushy and not afraid. I brought carrots for the two of them and she wanted all of them. I had to trick her to get a carrot past her for Shamu to try.
Well every now and then I just stop by on my way home from work and chat and see how things are going. I finally got Shamu to take a bite of a carrot the other day but to my disappointment she spit it out. So I figured I would bring some sugar cubes- horses like sugar right? To my delight I found some sugar cubes after a little searching and rushed home to offer this treat to my horses.
I held out my hand, calling them over. Of course it's Miss Piggy who comes bounding over. She sniffs the cube and just stares at me. I encourage her to eat it and she continues to stare. Confused why she isn't taking it, I move the cube closer to her mouth. Suddenly she jerks her face away like I spooked her. When she calms down she turns around so her behind is facing toward me. Rude! So then I tried to get Shamu to come over but she won't do anything that Miss Piggy won't and she snorted a warning at me. Meanwhile, rear-end facing me, Miss Piggy turns her head so she can eye me from the side. When I don't leave, she turns around and stomps the ground once while staring straight at me.
Oh. My. Goodness.
She is angry with me?!!! Fine! So I throw the cube in the dirt and stomp off to my car and drive away. Can you believe her? I never thought I would be in a fight with a horse.

Moustache May
It's that time of year again....

Jay has been super excited for this month for quite some time. He started growing his moustache at the end of April and now that we're in May he is having tons of fun with it. His facial hair is blonde so we had to go to Walmart and get some "Moustache Dye". Honestly though, it's just a moustache! I told him that and he about flipped.

He told me I wouldn't understand the power of a moustache until I had my own. So I got one and he's so right. A moustache makes everything better!

Is June here yet?

WHAT is in the water here?
It consists of something that causes marriage and nasty dishes.
How does that work?
There is always these nasty hard water stains, kind of like a nice coat of chalky film on my new dishes. Goes great with enchiladas. Yum.

We thought it was because we didn't have rinse aid. I bought rinse aid and guess what? Still chalky.
2 hours later, with a lot of scrubbing, all my dishes are clean. There has got to be an easier way.

Macey's Superman

I suppose you reach a point where "real life" hits ya.
That was today.
Jay and I went to the bank to add me to his account. When the nice lady asked how she could help us, I just said, "I would like to spend his money please"... mwah ha ha ha...
I now have all access to Jay's mula! When a girl has that, what do you think is the first thing that comes to mind?
SHOPPING!!! Yea baby!
So that's what I did...
For groceries.
First time grocery shopping for us by myself.
I prepared myself by picking five recipies from a cookbook and putting the ingredients on the list.
I got to Macey's and just stood there with my empty cart looking at my list and gazing in awe up at all the isles of food. Where to begin? I stared enviously at all the moms who just knew how to shop. Back and forth, my list, the moms, the isles, my list, the isles. I must have stood there for some time my head going in circles when suddenly a voice brought me out of my daze.
He introduced himself as "Superman" and said he was there to save me. Thank goodness for nice grocery store-workers!
3 hours later: my cart was full, my feet were aching and my mouth got wider and wider as I watched each item's price tick onto the check-out screen. I don't dare utter the final price.
What is Jay going to say?

I Love My Husband because
I knew that not-so-fun time of the month was coming.
When you feel your body collecting
excessive amounts of water in your tear ducts,
ready to burst at any moment.
Jay has one sister so I knew he must know something of girls and what happens each month, not to mention he dated me. Even so I explained that sometime in the next day or so I would probably be in tears and informed him not to be alarmed or worried about me. His response was awesome: His eyes got big and excited while he said,"Let's get a good movie to cry about, one that will probably make me cry and we will cry together while we eat some ice cream!"
So it's a date.
We are going to find a tear-jerker and cry with a little bit of ice cold sugar.
